    Great Big 4 Holiday Park

Our ensuite cabin was modern and very comfortable, with ceiling fan and reverse cycle air conditioning. Kitchen very well equipped with full sized fridge and dining table.

Unique Quality: The pool is great...but even on a warm day (we had 28) the water is freeeeezing! So be warned.

Every Sunday morning they have a free pancake breakfast at the Camp Kitchen...when i was there, there were at least 200 other people all there enjoying it - great.

Directions: About 4 kms from the city centre.

    A friendly oasis

To save money my friends and I decided for our time in the Northern Territory we would take tents and sleeping bags and use camping grounds. And except for the fact that we did not choose the best sleeping mats to take with us - this was an excellent choice!

MacDonnell Range Holiday Park was a great place to stay. When we paid for our space the lady at reception was very nice and gave us tips for things to see in the area.

Our area was clean, grassy, a few trees around. We set up three tents and our little camping stools, plus we were able to park our car with plenty of room to spare.

Unique Quality: There is a playground for kids, 3 swimming pools (1 for toddlers) - surrounded by palm trees, bbq and cooking areas. There are both camping sites with connections for electricity and ones without (so you don't pay for it if you don't want it).

There are quite a few shower/toilet/laundry blocks over the area. All were kept very clean, however if you don't like bugs... the grasshoppers are fairly big here and they like any well lit area.

The reception is also a kind of general store, alcohol can be bought there as well, but you must show your ticket that proves that you are staying at the camping ground.

Other amenities they have (but we did not use): go karts, bike hire, basketball court, giant jumping pillow, recreation room (pool table and table tennis) and internet facilities.

Directions: From town go through the MacDonnell Ranges, then left onto Palm Circuit and then the first left into Palm Place.
