ANOTHER WONDERFUL DARWIN SUNSET
In December I was on a cruise ship and made a purchas at this shop, unfortuantly I DID'NT have my Visa card so layed buy them. On the ship the details were lost. I have now lost the name of the shop except swimsuit was written on the front and I LEFT my name etc. It was on the left intersection and had lovely cloths and swim where and is mentioned in a shopping tourest pamplet.
Would love some one to help me.

I experienced the excellant travel booking and internet service of Global Gossip when in Cairns, so I was happy to see that it is also in Darwin.
If you want to make a travel booking or use the internet (and they provide a card you can top up and use anywhere in Australia)....then look no further than Global Gossip.
Post war Darwin took a while to become re-established, but in the 1950s and 1960s the town grew strongly. A particular style of tropical housing was developed, in many ways typical of that found throughout northern Australia. As you will see from the photos, the design raises the house, which is lightly built of fibre board, high on concrete ‘stumps’. This allows good airflow to assist cooling, while also providing space beneath to store vehicles and other property. Roofs were made of corrugated iron sheets. The design also provided many windows, mostly with glass louvres, again to assist with ventilation.

Sunscreen, decent hat, mosquito repellant, anti itch cream, Betadine (cream for open wounds) During our Wet season (October to April) it is very rainy and really humid. Light clothes are best. During the Dry season (May to September) a light jacket could be needed.
From Harry Chan Avenue down to the Stokes Hill Wharf turenoff there is a sweet little path that also has awesome views towards the Woolner Area. The Second Picture on my Darwin page is from the top of the travellers walk.
