WORST HOTEL EVER
This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. We took one step into our hotel room and turned around only 2 minutes later. The room was literally the size of a walk in closet with three beds shoved in the corner. There was no room for your luggage. To top it all off - there were ROACHES in the hotel room. We walked out immediately, packed up our car and left as soon as we could. When we talked to the manager and requested our money back, he refused and said that the ROACH problem was treated just last week. Any hotel with a ROACH problem is not a hotel for me. I highly suggest that you find other accommodations somewhere else in Darwin for the same, if not less expensive. We moved to a reputable, four star hotel for 30 dollars more.
Budget Hotel in Darwin
I stayed here for one night. It was a good experience. The rates are very good, at AU$60.
Unique Quality: Each room has 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. There is a bathroom, TV, fridge, and A/C, but you have to bring your own alarm clock. There are also no phones in the rooms, but there are payphones on each floor. There is a swimming pool.
Overall it is clean and comfortable, and the location is great - a short walk to restaurants, shopping, and the esplanade.
