New Hotel Located Conference & Wharf Precinct
This hotel was only 4 months old when we stayed 5 nights during August 2009. Just enough time after opening for the staff to be trained and all the small problems of a new hotel fixed.
I was impressed with the Reception staff, nothing was to much for them whether it be arranging a taxi, car hire, bus timetable etc etc. The hotel is well located in the Wharf Precinct which is being completely redeveloped. The magnificent convention centre is 300 metres from the hotel, the just completed Wave Pool is 2 minutes walk away and would be the busiest attraction in Darwin - no stingers or crocodiles whilst swimming.
Our stay included 3 nights prior to a coach tour of NT and another 2 nights on our return to Darwin. Our rooms were large and comfortable including flat screen TV and very comfortable bedding. Breakfast was excellent with the opportunity to dine outside and enjoy the harbour and beach view. We enjoyed dinner one evening and it was first class.
Our accommodation was included in the tour price, however we arranged 2 extra nights through the tour company at their discounted price of Au $170 per room night. This hotel was completely booked during our stay as it was peak season and Darwin Cup week (horseracing).
Directions: Wharf Prencinct, near Convention Centre.
