You will enjoy the pool at the end of your day!

It's hard to describe this place. It's a little bit of everything. Motel, Resturant, Campground, Resort. We had an airconditioned room that was spare but perfectly fine for our needs. The bathroom was huge! The beds were not the most comfortable that we slept in and mine had an annoying habit of skating freely across the hard floor until I put my rubber thongs underneath the casters and solved the problem! We were so tired at the end of our day that I probably could have slept on a bed of nails and not minded, but really, I thought the beds in our room didn't offer a lot of back support. Oh well. On the plus side the pool was wonderful. They have it covered by a parabolic tent so the water doesn't start boiling and keeps you out of the tropical sun. This was the best pool experience I had the whole trip. The airconditioning was cold so not much to complain about. We had my wife's birthday party at the bar and some folks on our tour graciously joined in to help make the day special.

Unique Quality: There is a lot of tame wild life that hangs around the place. I don't think anybody feeds them, but they know that all the adults mean them no harm so we got very close to Magpie Geese, Wallabies and some Cockatoos.

Likely your only budget option

This lodge accommodation has a little of everything for the Kakadu Visitor. There are self contained cabins, a lodge setting with communal bathroom facilities for the backpacker crowd, and plenty of camping spaces for those who bring a caravan or a tent. We opted for the self contained cabin, since there were four of us on the trip, and there was a four person cabin available. The cabins themselves were similar to a trailer park, but the accomodation was perfect for a national park. There were two sets of bunk beds, and an ensuite and kitchen in this cabin. It also had access to a convienence store, and a communal pool and dinner area. We did choose to go swimming, and thoroughly enjoyed a nice pool dip after sweating all day on the drive. One warning however is to not leave your swimsuit hanging outside, as someone stole my swimming trunks! I could not understand why someone would steal a pair of XXXL swimtrunks, but they needed them more than me!

Accomodations are basic here, but far from roughing it, so enjoy!
