Territory Manor Mataranka Hotel

The Territory Manor Motel & Caravan Park is famous for its Barramundi Feeding Show (daily at 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM). Zig (1+1) and I stopped for the show on our way back to Darwin after spending the night at the Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort. Although we did not stay there, we did arrive early for the 9:30 AM show and I got a chance to take some pictures. The restaurant at the Territory Manor happens to be the closest restaurant to Bitter Springs. Motel rooms are 100 AUD for one person and 15 AUD more for each person. Powered campsites are 30 AUD for two people (24 AUD for one) and unpowered campsites are 13 AUD per person. See several other tips and a travelogue on the Barramundi Feeding Show.

Unique Quality: The grounds at the Territory Manor are beautiful. They include the barramundi pond, a swimming pool, a picnic shelter, and even a nesting tree.

Directions: The Territory Manor Motel & Caravan Park is located just off the Stuart Highway on Martin Road in the northwest part of the town of Mataranka.
