Located at the mouth of the Richmond River in Northern New South Wales Ballina with its sandy beaches is a very popular surfing spot in nearby Lennox Head..This is also agreat place for seafood and the word Ballina comes from the aboriginal word "Bullenah" meaning "place where oysters are plentiful"...A great place to stop off for some seafood on the long drive north...
