Zorba Motel: Inexpensive, comfortable and very central
You wouldn’t need to be Einstein to work out that this Motel is owned and operated by a Greek family! And it is indeed, very much a family business, not part of some vast impersonal corporate group.
The motel is not large, so you would be wise to book if you propose to stay, especially in holiday periods. I am not aware of its official rating, but although it is not ‘luxury five stars’ it has all the essential requirements: my guess would be about an easy two star rating. Is an ‘older style’ motel, but that said, it is clean, comfortable, and very central to the main street facilities, restaurants, clubs and such. Best of all, it has good off-street parking and, if you take one of the upstairs rooms, million dollar views across the bay from just outside your window.
Unless you really need five stars, this is hard to beat.
Did I mention the off-street parking and the million dollar view?

CLYDE VIEW CARAVAN PARK: ON THE WATERFRONT
This Caravan Park is mainly full of Permanents and Tourist Cabins.
Tourist cabins range from 2 bedroom deluxe beach front villas, to standard one bedroom villas.
It did have a few Powered and Unpowered sites, so we booked in here.
It was very clean and tidy, Showers were good, Laundry was expensive compared to elsewhere, with a wash costing $4, and you have to pay to hire an Iron if you need one.
The BBQ’s were a $1, NOT FREE, and it took $2 to cook some steak.
There is a nice Swimming Pool, you may want to use this, as the Beach here was not the best, with a lot of seaweed being washed up.
You could walk straight out of the park and onto the Beach.
COST $30 per night for a powered site for 2 people.

Murramarang Eco Point Resort
We have only ever been here once in 1996, but it was a lovely place to relax and chill out. It is situated at South Durras, about 18km from Batemans Drive, and about a 3 hour drive from Wollongong.
There is accommation for every budget and desire, from camping grounds to family villas to luxury villas
I am not really sure about the prices, as I cant even remember what we paid 12 years ago.
