Take this pot shop for instance. The owners wanted to get our attention so they thought up this way of drawing out a laugh or a ha ha of recognition.
I have just noticed that this shop has disappeared but the clever type name lingers on in not one but two shops called 2 cute 4 kids. Photos coming.
One is in Harbour Drive and the other at Park Beach Plaza.
This is another pretty fall that you should visit if you drive the Waterfall Way.
Dangar Falls are located about 2kms from the town of Dorrigo. It is not high, but rather pretty, plunging 30metres over a basalt wall. There hadn't been much rain when I was there, but I have seen a photo of them after rain, and they look spectacular!
There is an overlook near the car park providing a gorgeous view of the falls and a trail that leads to its base.
I have now tasted and loved all three items on the menu at this great little fast but healthy hot food shop. Bey Kebabs is a very popular place for lunch at Park Beach Plaza. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent all due to the happy owner (Dave) and his cheerful staff. My favourite thing for lunch at the moment is a chicken spud. As the name would suggest it starts with a potato into which all kinds of goodies flow. The chicken spud is just one of a few choices on the spud menu. For A$7 you get the large potato with butter or garlic butter, corn, avocado, salad and sour cream and your choice of sauce. Super yummy.
Georges gold mine is open from 10am to 5 pm
it is closed Monday and Tuesday, except on public holidays and NSW Christmas and Easter school holiday times
tours of the Bayfield mine are at 10.30 12.30 1.30 and 2.30
the stamper battery is run at 11am and 3 pm
there are picnic areas and barbeques, and a small cafe
entrance fees are A$10 or adults and A$5 for children, family tickets are available
people who have limited mobility may find the Bayfield gold mine inaccessable, and when the creek is high access to it involes a walk along the track, otherwise you can drive to it from the entrance

Coffs Harbour is a beautiful town as far as I remember it. A fairly touristy area with lots to see and do.
My very favourite thing in Coffs Harbour is the Pet Porpoise Pool...I would camp out there for months if they would let me! What a dream job working with dolphins all day long... :)
Coffs Harbour is about 550 kms (6 hours drive) north of Sydney or 430 kms (5 hours drive) south of Brisbane.
