Best Western Blue Diamond Motor Inn

NOTE: Sorry - this is for the Matilda Motor Inn, NOT the Best Western or Comfort Inn- the problem when memory gets faulty and you try to remember place names.
This was completely satisfactory accomodation, easy to get to from the highway from Orange, and one block from the RSL club where we got a great cheap meal.
My friend left it to me to book accomodations in Dubbo, which was difficult for a person who really didn't know the different type of options. It was a little more expensive than he had hoped for, although reasonable in my experience, but the location made up for that. The day we arrived was just after a major rain and windstorm, and we were fortunate that it hadn't been badly damaged. They had a few branches land in the pool, so that was out of commission. We weren't looking for a swim, so no problems, mate. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and they served a good breakfast. It wasn't fancy but it served our needs.

Unique Quality: They have a swimming pool. It is off the main road, so pretty quiet. One block away from the RSL Club & Resort, so there are the advantages of being able to go there without having to pay the rates of the RSL, but get the inexpensive meal.
