Halcyon Cottage: Accomodation in Exeter!!!

This is new! The old cottage has been renovated and looks absolutely charming!

However as it is sandwiched between the main Sydney-Melbourne Railway line (freight trains all night long!) and a busy road with a difficult corner - (I see they have just removed the raised metal disc in the middle of the sweeping corner that was designed to keep traffic on the right side of the road) it may not be very quiet.
When the cottage was quietly mouldering away I always used to think - one day a car or truck is simply not going to make it and smasherooni - right through the front room wall - and as the cottage is so small - straight out through the back of the house.

However I have been passing by for over 20 years - and it hasn't happened yet.

Just checked to see if it has a website and it has but it seems to me to be a bit on the pricey side. $145 a night. Minimum stay 2 nights. But it does sleep four.
On the plus side if you are a public transport person it is very close to the station.
On the minus side if you are a person looking for peace and quiet - it is very close to the station.

Built in 1869! That's quite old.
