The bathooms were filthy with no one game enough to set foot in the shower so we all went without.
We didnt even bother with eating there, with the standard of everything else I had no doubt that the food would be just as dodgy. The Lodge was not quiet at all with doors banging all night and we could hear people coming and going, footsteps and so on.
I assume that everyone else staying there thought the rooms had insufficient heating as the lounge areas (which were VERY warm) had about 15 people sleeping in them overnight.
If we didn't have kids with us, we would have been warmer and more comfortable sleeping in our car!
Don't stay there. If I could rate this place a zero, I would.
Relaxation at its best. After a hard days hiking theres nothing better than putting your feet up and watching the sun go down on the horizon, and theres no better place to do it than from the balcony of this inn.
You sleep in dorm rooms, which was not a problem for me because you get to share your views on the area with others, and the beds are very comfortable.
Unique Quality: As mentioned before the views from the balcony are spectacular. Relaxing watching the sun disappear into the mountains.
Another quality of the inn is that it is only a short distance to the sights and hiking paths, around 2.5 kms.
Directions: Take the train from sydney central station direct to the mountains, costs around $14 return.
