Katoomba Falls Caravan Park: Caravan park near Katoomba Falls

Katoomba Falls Caravan Park is located on the scenic Cliff Drive, just across the road from the carpark of Katoomba Falls.

Unique Quality: There are 14 wooden cabins, 34 powered and 16 unpowered camping sites. We had an unpowered site for $24. The camping sites are on a nice little grassy area overlooking a football oval which is right on the borderline in front of the park. Quiet area, just a couple of kms out of town. Toilet block is in good condition and not too small. Security with boom gate entry and key to use toilet & shower blocks.
I also really enjoyed the antics of the charismatic sulphur crested cockatoo who lives in an aviary near the office and seems to enjoy company and attention.

NUMBER 14: HOME COMFORTS

A wonderfully comfortable, clean and friendly hostel, the staff are great and very helpful with maps and tips on walks. This was originally built as a guest house when Katoomba was a popular honeymoon destination in the early part of the last century and it still has many original features

the only thing we werent keen on was the single bathroom, although there were plenty of toilets and showers in there it was a bit too communal for us

Unique Quality: A treat on chilly days is the log fire, it makes it very warm and cosy, and there are beautiful wooden floors. Our bed was very comfy and we had a great view out of the window when the mist eventually cleared
