Worst Booking Experience
Made a booking for an apartment on-line, they totally misrepresented what was on offer. The manager never got back to me after several emails to the receptionist. I finally called from overseas and the manager picked up which I thought would be a good thing... Unfortunately, she was rude, abrasive and admitted that the wording in the ad was incorrect but blamed the on-line booking company. The on-line booking company then blamed Manly Paradise... I've now cancelled my booking - who cares about the customer anyway... I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone...

the location is good enough. 5 minute walk into the centre of manly. Manly is quite small so not really far to anywhere. The manly lodge itself, nothing flash but then youre not there to sit inside all day
Travel Tips for Manly
Spending Time with Friends in Manly
by cjg1
Our last trip to Many in 2010, we decided to meet up with a friend and fellow VTer Doug (Aussiedoug). We enjoyed some drinks, snacks and a nice walk around Manly enjoying the surroundings and catching up on life events.
Public Restrooms
by cjg1
The Public restrooms in Manly range from the sandy and wet bathrooms by the beach to the clean and pristine ones of restaurants. The bathrooms closest by the beach are usually not as clean and very wet; this from personal experience. I prefer to stop in a pub, grab a beer and have a clean restroom.

Climate in Manly Beach
by Openseas
Manly never gets too hot or too cold. Summer temperatures range from 25 - 33degrees.
Visiting Sydney in winter shouldn't be much of a problem either. The temperature is often in the high 16-18 and sometimes very low 20's. Don't expect to have to wear much more than a shirt or light jacket.
In the evenings the temperature does drop so a jacket or jumper may be needed.
Surfing
by cjg1
Surfing is something you will definitely see at Manly Beach. There are surfers in the water catching some medium to large waves along with kids on boogie boards. There are several spots to rent surf equipment if you want to try and be a Surfie for the day.
