This has to be in the absolute Prime spot in Newcastle, overlooking the main Newcastle Beach
Have worked at Worskhops twice here in the last 4 years & have also stayed here twice during that time so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to travellers wanting a beautiful spor to base themselves for a few nights to discover Newcastle on foot while ducking across to have a swim at the beach in the morning and/or the afternoon.
The great views are a definite plus. The first time I stayed here I had an ocean view room which was just beautiful to look out over the beach from.
This trip I was given a Harbour view room & it was a very nice view to with an interesting perspective. From its balcony (small one though) I took the main photo for this Newcastle page, looking back down the Hunter River & over the city. While my Fort Scratchely photo was taken looking in the opposite direction.
Treat yourself & stay here a couple of nights.
