Excellent self contained flat that has all you need for a great holiday. Right on the river....and excellent access to Jervis Bay for diving, Shoalhaven Heads for Surfing, everywhere else for the bush, river and town.

Great view of the river. Walk to town for dinner or shopping. Very well equipt flat and modern.

Coolendel.: Bush Camping.

This really is a great spot. 30kms from Nowra, again ideal for a 4wd. Very windy cliff type roads, mostly one way.
Nearby to river, great for canoeing. There are rapids which look small but are decieving, they are quite strong. Very hot in Summer. Lots of wildlife wondering around. Fishing for Bass. Great for bike riding for the kids. You can build a fire providing there isnt a total fire ban in place. They do seel ice and have a small store with varios bits and pieces on the premises. Amentities available. (showers and toilets). Various campsites throughout premises.

A gorgeous place really. When I get a 4wd I would love to go back. Only downside is, I feel its a bit pricey for camping. Not really clear on the price per person per night. I have a very strong suspision that they might just make up a price???
My partner and I paid $54 for 2 people for 2 night, but his parents paid $108 for 2 people for 3 nights. Did they pay $54 for 1 extra night? That extra night happened to be a thursday (not exactly peak). Who knows...we were at a loss to explain...and it seems so were they???

Honeymoon Bay: Camping

The campground here in the national park is lovely, and within a short stroll to the water. They do not take bookings, you just turn up and the rangers come around to collect the camping fees daily. I think its around $8 or so per night.
You will have to take all your own fresh water and gas.

*Please note*
Apparently at Christmas time, it is extremely difficult to get in here. I have been told you have to enter a ballot, and they randomly pull names out, securing your spot!

Its amazing to see all the kangaroos come up around the tents. Beautiful location. Dont forget to check out the stars!!!
