Located on the New South Wales Holiday Coast at the mouth of the Hastings River, Port Macquarie boasts some of the most pristine waterways and magnificent beaches in Australia. With an abundance of things to do, beautiful nature reserves, and a colourful history, Port Macquarie is a coastal resort town that has something for everyone. The climate is noted for being one of the best in Australia with average temperatures ranging from 20C - 32C in Summer, and from 8C - 21C in Winter. When we visited this tows. They had some celebration. I didn't understad, but I enjoyed the dance and other programs in the town. I was shopping for a half an hour.
Timbertown - part V

Scattered around the venue are bits of equipment and machinery, such as this steam tractor here.
It all adds to the atmosphere and there are no security guards around to keep you at arms length. You can touch and feel the beasts and, as described elsewhere, hear their roar as they burst with life.
It costs nothing to get in and thus is one of the best value theme parks anywhere!
Town Beach

For general surfing, Town Beach is fairly ordinary by Australian standards but it suits one particular form and that is body boarding. In fact, it's so prolific that you can go and view champion riders here just about any day there's a reasonable wave around.
This particular photo was taken from the end of the colourful walk along the breakwall at one of the spots favoured by the body boarders.
