My daughter and I wanted to take in a concert at the Capitol Theatre as the name suggests is co-joined with this hotel and as she had an early morning train to catch to Coffs we decided to stay the night. A short walk from Central Rail and Coach station and close to Paddy's Markets, actually I could see them from my window, plus the complex had plenty of restaurants to choose from. You will not need much as the breakfast was included.
The pub downstairs had a loud band playing and I got a headache, walked for miles looking for a chemist open, got back to the hotel and right next to the lift was a dispenser with headache pills! Anyway the music stopped at a reasonable hour and all in all a good experience.
Unique Quality: Historically preserved complex
Directions: Very close to Paddy's Markets and at the Chinatown end of George St
Now how convenient can that be? The 24 hr Sydney Tram is just down at the doorsteps of this Hotel! I love it. It's so convenient. And for those who are concerned about the noise, nope, it's not noisy at all.
We stayed there for 3 nights and there's nothing to complain. Service was fast and prompt. Breakfast was good....and most importantly to me, the location is execellent. It's near Chinatown, you could walk to QVB and if you are up for walking, you can walk another 15 minutes all the way straight up to the Rock.
When i was there last night, we paid about $110 AUD per room per night, with breakfast for 2.
Directions: Cnr Campbell And George St Sydney Nsw
Our stay was pleasant. Rooms aren't the most spacious but are fine and comfy. The breakfast is nice and service generally very good.
Unique Quality: The hotel is in a very handy position for chinatown, theatres, Darling Harbour & buses to Circular Quay.
