Travel Agent in Sydney
by astro_kerryn
I used Flight Centre Townhall, and dealt with Georgina Nunn.
She pulls no punches and is straight to the point, which for me, is good! She is thorough and was able to find deals and routes that SIX other agents couldn't find, which ended up saving me money.
She may appear tough and a bit pushy, but don't be put off, I would rather have someone straight forward and on the ball helping me organise my travel and this lady knows what she is doing!
The contact details are;
Georgina Nunn
Manager
Flight Centre Town Hall
Ph: (02) 9267 2999
Fax: (02) 9267 2990
Email: georgina.nunn@flightcentre.com.au
Look Right
by Gypsystravels
This tip may sound ridiculous, but as you are walking and crossing the streets here in Sydney, be mindful that Australia follows the driving rules of England.
Please look to the right and be careful as you walk across the streets. As a reminder, on the streets are painted directions to look to the right!!

Sydney is a great party place. There are so many nice areas where you can go out. My favourite places are O'Mally's, 3 Wise Monkeys and Scruffy Murphy's. Check out my nightlife tips for some more info. A schedule for if you don't know what to do:
Monday: Quiznight at William Hotel and crab racing at the Scubar
Tuesday: Tight Arse Tuesday at Scruffy Murphys
Wednesday: The Old Fitzroy in Woolloomooloo
Thursday: 3 Wise Monkeys
Friday: Manly Wharf Hotel
Saturday: Cargo Bar in Darling Harbour
Sunday: Beau at O'Mally's
Currency

Australian currency is in paper and coin. Paper money comes in denominations of : $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills. Coins come in denominations of: 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, $1 and $2. Money is easy to use and handle. I prefer to cary smaller bills on hand for taxis and for shopping.

Pack light - but bring a foldable carry all should you plan to go shopping. NSW is a fairly casual destination. Good casual clothes would suffice for most visits. More formal clothes are not usually necessary. Lightweight clothing, including swimmers should be brought during summer while in winter a jumper and or jacket over good casual clothes would be sufficient. Warm clothing if you are going to the Blue Mountains during winter. Otherwise a denim jacket will suffice. Sturdy walking shoes and flip flops during the summer.
