Lovely Art Deco Hotel by Maryimelda The desk staff were extrememely polite and helpful and my room on the fourth floor was huge. It had a double bed, TV, lovely bathroom and all the usual mod cons (even though it was an old art deco building which had been renovated. The best part of my room was the view over Elizabeth Bay.

DeVere Hotel - Sydney by travelina Rooms were spacious, quiet, and clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and included breakfast was better than average. (Assortment of fruit, cereals, toast, eggs, bacon, etc.)
From the hotel, it was a nice walk down to Circular Quay (10-15min walk). Each day we headed toward Wooloomooloo (sp?) Bay, followed the sidewalk to the Royal Botanic Gardens, and around to the Quay. The Gardens are closed at night, but walking around them to get home late at night was easy and safe. Stop at the famous Cafe de Wheels for a meatpie, it's on the way.
