Sydney Visitor Centres
by wkcsmt
Sydney Visitor Centre is located @ 106 George Street, The Rocks. It is a good place to pick up maps, brochures & general tourist information about Sydney as well as towns in New South Wales. The office is open daily from 9am-6pm. Phone: (02) 9255 1788.
City Host information kiosks, located near Town Hall (George Street), at Circular Quay (corner Pitt & Alfred Streets), at Martin Place (between Elizabeth & Castlereagh Streets) also provide comprehensive information on Sydney.
Two more Visitor Centres are @ Sydney International Airport Terminal & Darling Harbour.

The Circular quay area of Sydney is a great place to start a tourist trek. Right there you have the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge the rocks area and close to Centrepoint tower and the downtown shopping area. Barbecues on the beach , sunbaking playing in the waves in Coogee bay and scuba diving in Sydney Harbour

Take a look at the El Alamein Water Fountain, shaped like a big dandelion, on the Fitzroy Gardens at Kings Cross. The El Alamein Fountain is Sydney's homage to the fibre-optic lamp. You can seat in the nearby cafe and enjoy the fountain or simply watch life unfold as visitors and unofficial residents of the gardens gather around it.

You will never have enough films, batteries or storage space on memory cards to store all your pictures. My advice, take a loptop or a portable hard drive to store everything. So far in 10 weeks, I've shot 4 Gb of photo's....
