I booked a studio room through my travel agent here in the UK, and thought it might be a bit pokey. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived, it was quite spacious. The airconditioning was great (I stayed in late March) and the bed was very comfortable. The satff were all very helpful, I arrived on an early morning flight and check in isn't till 2pm but I was able to leave my bags and use the swimming pool shower and changing rooms.
Directions: Very close to the Town Hall Station, Town Hall and Harbourside. Half an hours pleasant walk to Circular Quay
The two-bedroom/two bathroom apartment we booked was a nice change from a regular hotel room. There were beds for four, and a fifth person slept in a roll-away which we placed in the living room. The living room was equipped with sofas, a television and a CD player and also had a balcony. In addition there was a large dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Finally, we were glad to have the laundry facilities right in the apartment so that we could wash all the clothes we got dirty while camping on Kangaroo Island.
Directions: Note: While VT asks for per person rates, the Medina sets its rates by room type rather than the numbers of people in it. The nightly charge for the apartment was about $250.
