  • Less than average hotel

    by

Staff were indifferent. No smiles or politeness. Service was totally lacking. Safe was broken and staff ignored our request to get it fixed. Room was very basic. Can't think of anything positive about the hotel. Having read the other reports, it is a gross distortion of the views to say that the average report gives it a very good report. I give this one and a half star.

Unique Quality: Miserable staff was most unique

    Directions: On Pitt St itself

  • Dissapointing

    by

My boyfriend and I were staying here for one night in preparation for job interviews the next day. We were very dissapointed in the room features and the service provided by staff.

The location was very good for both public transport, and walking.

The room was way smaller than advertising implied, with a bed and the TV cabinet/desk. There was one small openable window but its opened onto the monorail line which was loud and annoying so we kept that shut the whole time.

The bathroom was ok and the shower was quite big with nice hot water, but the toilet cistern made a dripping noise all night. The worst part of it was that we couldn't even drown out the noise with the TV, because that didnt work. We phoned reception to fix the TV and they said they would send somebody up, but nobody ever came. The TV was stuck on the menu, and we couldn't click through to TV or Foxtel or even Hotel Information.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for other travellers, we could have had the same level of comfort in a backpackers hostel twin room, and it wouldn't have cost $150 a night.
