Palisade Hotel

Check this place out! Shared bathrooms, and no elevator, but the best price for something close to everything in Sydney. We actually had a view of the Harbor, over the piers. It was fun staying in a pub -it was great place to kick back and watch some rugby after a day of sightseeing. This is close to Lord Nelson's which is a more famous old hotel/pub but a fraction of the price and less crowded.
They also let us drop our bags there at 0830 the day we arrived in Sydney, and got us into our room around noon!

Unique Quality: Location! Walking distance to opera house, aquarium, bridge...
Also, our room had a great porch overlooking the bridge, see 2nd pic!
