Try to plan excusions before hand/in advance
by silly659
I came to Sydney in April for a month in 2008 and we tried to do excursions on the weekends, but it was really expensive. We would go to the Flight Center and it was about $400-600 to all the places we wanted to go to (Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, Adeladide), it wasn't in our budget so we skipped and just made the most of Sydney. So i"m not sure if you can pre-book your travels before going there, but at least look into it.

The Rocks
by dragontml
Is one of Sydney's foremost attractions - a centre of history and entertainment. Many of the buildings are near original - from the oldest building in The Rocks, Cadman's Cottage, to Susannah Place, Campbells Storehouse and the Merchants House.
Set on Sydney Harbour, The Rocks can offer everything from boutique shops to fine art galleries as well as restaurants, street entertainment, historical buildings, and many artefacts from a much earlier Sydney. As the landing place of 1400 men, women and children in 1788 (over half being convicts) The Rocks provide a fascinating look at Australian history.
Visit the St. Mary's...

Visit the St. Mary's Cathedral situated on College Street opposite Hyde Park. This Cathedral is another Sydney icon both spiritually and architecturally. It is quite impressive in and outside. Notable for its incredible Melocco Brothers mosaic floor in the crypt that depicts The Creation, inspired in part by the Book of Kells. The floor took 16 years, from 1930 - 1946, to complete. The crypt is open daily from 10 am till 4 pm. The current Cathedral was commenced in 1868 (the first burnt down); the spires were completed in 2000. I thought that I had some more pics and close ups from the Cathedral, but alas, I think I am missing a movie roll. If they show up again I will ad more pics on it.
My Wife's Favorite Beer-Pure Blonde

Pure Blonde is an Australian Beer that my wife has come to love. Every visit to Australia she looks forward to her first glass of this frosty brew. It's light, crisp and very refreshing; I rather like it myself. She like to jone that she like her beer like her men....Blonde...
