Car Hire - Anyone had experience of Rhino Car Hire or Economy Car Hire?

by favorito01

Hi. I am looking to rent a car for 3 days to drive to Melbourne. Both Rhino Car Hire and Economy Car Hire offer good rates and all inclusive cover. Has anyone had experience of either?

Thanks

Europcar is also a good car hire company, and the one that we use in cities in Australia.
Good rates, good service and all inclusive cover.
Rhino I have heard good things about from other travelers.

Thanks for the info. I've tried Europcar but its a lot more expensive than the other two - that's why I asked the question. I wondered why they were so reasonable on price.

Travel Tips for Sydney

Circular Quay

by Marpessa

A great place to walk around in summer. Yes there are heaps of tourists, but that's what makes it a lively place to be. You have the Sydney Opera House on one side, the Rocks and Sydney Harbour Bridge on the other. In the middle are different kinds of ferries that will take you to almost any point in the harbour. There are quite a few street performers around the Quay with all performing different kinds of acts, some comical, some 'dangerous' (aka, with fire involved) and there was even some aboriginals performing 'tribal' dances (representing a story).

Taste the Local Flavor - Meat Pie

First time for me to taste meat pie during our second day as volunteer. It was served as our lunch. This particular pie is of Mrs Mac brand. It is delicious and filling meal ... just be careful of the hot meat and gravy.

It is said that meat pies are icons or part of an original Australian symbol.

Visit the SYDNEY AQUARIUM at Darling Harbor. It is one of the largest aquariums in the world. About 5000 different Australian fish are displayed in their natural habitats. 145 meters of acrylic underwater tunnels gives you a sense of walking on the ocean floor. It is open 9.30am-9pm daily, with the last admission at 8pm.

Visiting China Town: Unlike...

Visiting China Town: Unlike what one may think, has a mixture of, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese. It is also a place where many of the places stay open until 3 or 4 am. The food halls offer good value and during the day Yam Cha is available at nearly every restaurant for breakfast or lunch.
See for more info and pics in the China Town travelogue please.

Clothing

Squashy duffle, not much storage space on a boat. Swimming costumes, towels , sunscreen, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, reef shoes if you want to walk out at low tide, smart casual attire for dining out, your medical certificate if you are planning on learning to dive or your Dive Certificate if you want to do more advanced diving.

The weather is usually warm and balmy but evenings can get cool. So 'layer dress' - bring a lightweight jacket or cardigan, or a few extra long sleeved t-shirts or shirts so you can add extra light layers if you need to. Bring everything you are going to need with you if you have chartered a yacht. sunscreen and bottled water. Bring everything you are going to need with you if you have chartered a yacht Bring everything you are going to need with you if you have chartered a yacht
