Aboriginal Art
This is an example of Outback Art, not necessarily done by Aboriginal people (though it may well have been).
Aboriginal art sites include cave paintings, rock etchings, hand prints on cave walls and such.

Avoid this place. It's a long walk from anywhere and it charges hotel-like prices for hostal level accommodations.
This was a decent hotel if you don't mind the awkward location. There is nothing of interest nearby, and walking back to the hotel at night from the city centre was uncomfortable. I did not feel safe. Other than that, the owners were the friendliest people you could meet and went out of their way to accomodate us.
We decided to check out of the hotel after 2 nights, when our cab driver told us this was not a great area or the safest area of town for tourists to stay in.
If you want budget, find something closer to the city centre or stay at Wanderer's on Kent.
Unique Quality: Booking online, you get a cheaper rate. We got a double room for about AU$85 per night.
The rooms are extremely small and feel like you are in a closet, but are clean. There is a parking garage and a laundry facility.
It is a 10 min. walk to the city centre.

A good place to view aboriginal art in Kakadu National Parkis Ubirr rock - included in most itineraries of tour operators in Kakadu. There are amazing examples of Aborigine "X-ray"-art, showing the intestines of the depicted creatures.
The paint of an extincted animal.
