Famous for their Pelicans
The Entrance (real name) is located in the central coast, maybe an hour or so from Sydney. It's a lovely beach town famous for these large birds that are everywhere. In the ocean, bay, ontop of street lights, you get the picture. Everyday, they have a pelican feeding, which is very interesting and attracts lots of tourists.
This little beach town, reminds me of something of from my childhood in the USA, maybe on the New Jersey coast. They have a lovely beach with a sheltered bay for swimming. We were there on Easter sunday and the place with a buzz of activity. This is a great place for families. Amusement rides, flying kites, kayaking, fishing and pelican feeds. Also, there is a small person train, called the Pelican express that goes through the town.
We stopped here on our way to Sydney from the hunter wine valley and didn' t have enough time to check the place out. Our 7 month old son, loved watching the birds and kites. I think we may come back here when he is older, so he can enjoy the beach.
Also, at the public bathroom, they have a parents room for feeding and changing
