The Grooms Motel
The Groom for the wedding stayed here prior to the wedding and had a spacious room with a balcony and views. Soft bed and an enjoyable stay. Not cheap for a Best Western though.

The rooms are comfortable and well serviced and the staff are friendly.
The majority of rooms are upstairs and there's off street parking though be careful of the driveway if your car is lowered and doesn't have any clearance to speak of.
For dinner I recommend you head up to the main street on the hill and make your choice of the cafes on offer there. Some are excellent. In fact, I haven't eaten at a bad one yet.
Unique Quality: I have tended to get a room on the first floor with balcony overlooking the park and the ocean. It is one of life's more pleasant experiences to wake up in the morning and take the sun overlooking the ocean then trundle down to the restaurant for an al fresco breakfast watching the world go by.
Some of the locals quite enjoy the experience as well and pop in before going to work.
