    Central spot right in town

    by

I didn't stay here but betska did, so if you need to know anything, then flick Betty an email. I do know that the Airlie Beach Hotel is right in town and has great prices....and specials as I looked them up when advising vt'ers of accommodation specials in Airlie. If you are on a budget but don't want to join the backpackers, then I would seriously look here.

Being right in town, you have access to all the good stuff like restaurants, beach walk and happy hour coctails etc :o) Can't go wrong!

And look!!....there's Hansi with his blue vt towel :o) Betty is there too!! Just on the right hand side of the pink column in the middle of the building. Hi guys!! :o)

This is a photo of the front apartments which are more expensive but would have amazing ocean views from the balconies.

Unique Quality: The best part of these apartments is that they are right on the beach and close to all shops and restaurants etc.
Most of the condos and holiday units elsewhere require a steep climb up the hill.

Directions: On the southern end of the main street.

    Expensive or not so expensive.

This high rise resort right on the beach was recommended to us by a friend. It is an up market resort and the best thing about it was that you could lash out and spend your time in luxury or like us you could save more than a few dollars and "rough it" out the back. We paid $50 dollars each for a twin room per night.

Unique Quality: They have second class accomodation which I think must have been the original motel. The place has been spruced up and we were quite happy with it. The rooms were basic, clean and the beds were comfortable. Not far from both the beach and the main road { where all the shops are} The Saturday markets are just next door so this was another added bonus. No lugging those pineapples and bongo drums too far!
