So many stars....
by CindyLou99
If you get the chance to sail the WhitSundays for 3 days, you will never believe how many stars there are in the sky until you see them in real life. At night we had the choice to either sleep up on the deck of the boat or down below. A bunch of us slept on the deck in the ocean breeze and watched the stars for the whole night. It was so amazing. I don't think I have ever seen that many stars in my life before. You will probably also get the chance to see "The Southern Cross" which is the South Pacific equivilant to the "Big Dipper" seen in North America. Such an unbelievable sight!
Hamilton Island
by CandS
We spent our seventh night at Hamilton Island in the marina. We spent some time down at the resort pool drinking cocktails and relaxing then had dinner at a nice restaurant...
Hamilton Island was our first real brush with civilisation since getting on our boat. The sleep wasn't too good since the nightclub is right next to the marina and the music played till the early hours of the morning...but the water was calm and our ear plugs worked well... ;)

VTers sailing on the Camira Catamaran
by cnango
On the second day of the Aussie VT Meet 2009 we sailing on the Camira, a sleek lavender colored Catamaran. Our destination was the pristine Whitehaven Beach, known for its soft white sand. The weather was beautiful and the sailing went pretty smooth .We had a lot of fun on board sunning, laughing, chatting and of course plenty of eating and drinking! The staff served a huge all-you-can-eat bar-b-q buffet, desserts and salad bar. Beer, wine, sodas, & bottled water were included in the cost of the trip. Overall I thought the all inclusive price of the package deal was a good value. You can get current prices and schedules on the website below......
