 The Cosmo on Park is good. Damn good. This is the first time I have really been tempted not to share an accommodation tip with VT because I am worried that the place will be full when we go back on holiday. Because we will go back.
The Cosmo has it all, and its budget format saves money where it can be saved without reducing the feeling of it being a very, very good hotel.
The location is superb, just minutes from the centre of Brisbane (and the round-city tourist bus stops outside the front door), and many of the rooms overlook the river: each one has a good-sized balcony for sitting out.
The appartments are either studio, one or two bedroom with fully equipped kitchen.
There is no restaurant, but on a road filled with pavement cafes and restaurants, why would you want to eat in?
Some of these cafes and restaurants will charge to your room and even deliver as room service.
This is a great hotel, and I think the first time I have given the highest rating to anywhere.
