Nice place to stay if you dont want to stay.
The service is about equal to most major hotel chains. Staff was very helpfull for directions and recommendations on places to visit. Hotel room was not close to that pictured on web site, but was good enough for 100 bucks a night.
Unique Quality: The BBQ resaraunt in the hotel is expensive but very good.

My hotel away from home
This hotel is where I live during the week.
I have a great apartment on a middle floor overlooking a large park with views to the Story Bridge and the Brisbane River. Very pretty.
Its only a block to the free bus around the city and a half hour stroll from the apartment to work in the city. Its only a 2 min walk to the City Cat stop. A highly recommended experience to see the city from the bow of a catamaran.
Unique Quality: Facilities include pool, spa, sauna, gym, car park, shopping centre next door... what more can I need in the city.
Nice people at the reception too.

Great apartments
If you want a great base, close to the city, with good views of the Brisbane river and a price that works for a family, try Pacific International Apartments.
Its right next door to a shopping centre to pick up food, wines, chemist, fresh bread etc. Two blocks away is the stop for the free city bus that takes you around the city passing most of the best places to see, shop and stop by.
Unique Quality: 1 & 2 bed apartments, Great views, pool, spa, sauna and gym, car parking under cover and secure.
The best is these are apartments, do your own catering.. and its next door to the supermarket and wine shop.
