Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort

This hotel is absolutely beautiful.
The first thing you notice when you arrive is that someone rushes out of the hotel to help you with your luggage. They then escort you to the Check in desk where the staff are equally well mannered and efficient.
Our room was ready when we arrived and they had even turned the aircon on 10 minutes before so that the room was nice and cool. The room was immaculately clean as was the bathroom, both of which were a good size. We stayed on the ground floor so we had a shaded courtyard. I recommend that you ask for a ground floor room as the sun shines directly onto the balconies and it looked like they would get very hot.
The facilities include a restaurant, fitness centre and pool with pool bar!!! The pool has a man made beach and the water temperature always warm.
The buffet breakfast is great as is the restaurant. The tour desk is very helpful and the concierge gave us directions everywhere.
The hotel is very close to everything.

Unique Quality: I would say that the pool is this hotels unique quality. The man made beach is great for the kids and the pool bar is great for the adults.

Really enjoyed this hotel, good facilities and handily located. Room was pretty good, and I really liked the hotel pool.
Restaurant and bar facilities were excellent as well and I would happily stay here again.

The only thing to be careful of is that there are a lot of bats in the area. Originally the hotel put us in a room right next to where all the bats are and there was a lot of noise. We asked to be moved and this was arranged for us.

This hotel is in a fantastic location...just walk out the back entrance and you are in the in the midst of it all...a block to the Esplanade with all restaurants along the waterfront.

Unique Quality: Every room has a balcony and the pool has a sandy "beach" - truly an oasis right in the middle of the city.
