Southern Cross Atrium Apartments: Great apartments in Cairns

We stayed in Southern Cross for three nights and were really happy with the experience. The location is great, right next to the railway station and some 10 minutes walk from the coast and the centre.
The apartments are in great condition and well-equipped. The resort has several pools and a gym.
Beautiful, modern, clean apartments. Its a mix of rented out rooms and people leasing for longer term. Its not a party hotel- quiet enough to sleep at night. Only a 2 block walk from the bustling nightlife though. I would definately recommend this to anyone that would like to be surprised that they are spending under $80 for a room that could easily be $150+
Kitchen, cable TV, private bathrooms, use of fitness center. Theres a balcony on every room overlooking one of the three pools.
