Central Location with a view
After a recent (Jan 2013) three night stay in a studio apartment at the OVR, we came home promising ourselves to “do it again”.
We opted for a Studio Apartment with a view. We were delighted with what we were given on the fourth floor.
Other options include - Motel Suites which are ideal for a quick overnight stay with 1 x queen size bed. One Bedroom Apartments and Two Bedroom Apartments.
All rooms have a private balcony, air-conditioning, Plasma TV, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock radio, ensuite bathroom, hairdryer, desk and Wireless Internet.. All rooms have opening windows. The non-motel apartments have cooking facilities.
There is a pool, gym and sauna which we did not use.
We were very happy with the staff at reception.
Unique Quality: We found the room to be most comfortable with an excellent bed and very good finish to fittings and bathroom.
Features we particularly enjoyed - The view; secure underground parking; 2 minute walk to Bulcock Beach; aircon that worked efficiently without noise; Non smoking rooms and the fact that room was not serviced for a three day stay so we were not disturbed by cleaning staff.
The price of AUD 160 per night during prime time school holidays was quite good as well.
