Rainforest/beach Backpackers heaven

PK's jungle village was quite enjoyable for a two night stay.

I liked the way the rooms and dorms were in seperate huts and had lots of space between them. They were very clean and some had ensuite rooms and family rooms with a bathroom.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The cooking facility is well equiped.
Toilets,laundry and showers very clean.
The pool is tropical designed and designated areas for smokers.
The jungle bar and restaurant was really good and they sell coffee/tea for $1.--It is tinned coffee but it tasted fine.

It is close to walking tracks and Myall Beach--you can walk the path across to the lookout at the southern end of Cape Tribulation Beach.

The friendly grocer and Pharmacy are expensive but when you consider they have to ferry the goods over the Daintree River from the nearest outlets then you can understand.

There is so much to do throughout the Daintree region and the staff will help you arrange any tours/visits.

PK's also have a camping area for vans and cars adjacent to the village.

The internet fees are $6 aus for 40 minutes so this is expensive in my opinion.
The check out time is 9.30am which I found to be to early, but you can hang around the pool and bar until you leave. The camping ground's check out is 11am.

Unique Quality: The Jungle Bar is a great place to unwind after a day of exploring.
The pizzas are good.
No alcohol is allowed to be bought in because it is a licenced premises.(If found it will be confiscated)
The location of the village is unbeatable.
The tropical pool is great.
