"On the Qld - NSW border"
Queensland's most southerly coastal town, Coolangatta is known as the gateway to the Gold Coast.
About 100 kilometres from Brisbane, it's right on the Queensland/New South Wales border and very close to its twin town of Tweed Heads which is in NSW.
It's a small town of about 4,000 permanent population but with many more thousands of holiday visitors. It has about 300 days of sunshine a year, which coupled with its proximity to the Gold Coast makes it a favourite holiday destination.
