Anacapri was a cheap hotel to stay in, with their VIP memberships which my partner had. Unfortunately I was unimpressed with this hotel during our five night stay. The cleaners let the Anacapri down. There were hairs in the bathtub and bobby pins and elastic bands lying on the bathroom floor. The rubbish bin needed a scrub. We had to do our dishes by hand, which was fine, but I was unimpressed with the small, green piece of gauze pad that we were given to do the dishes with. A proper scrubbing brush would have been more conveinent, and dare I say, more hygienic. I was also aghast to learn we had to pay for toilet paper. Something as basic as toilet paper should be included in the price of the hotel. Overall, the hotel staff weren't overly friendly or helpful.
The pool was nice, as was the tennis court ($5 to hire a tennis racket, $10 for the balls). Close to the beach, shops and easy access to bus stops. Foxtel in the apartment was a plus, as was the fan over our bed, as well as the air conditioning. A (nearly) fully equiped kitchen meant we could cook our own meals, and the self-contained unit allowed us to do our own laundrey.
