Packing List
by Krystynn
With sunshine all year round, you don't need to pack much clothings with you. But never, never, NEVER EVER forget your sunBLOCK lotion. The ozone layer in Australia is very thin... and you'd definitely need to be adequately prepared and guard yourself against any forms of skin cancer. Better be safe than sorry.

Beachfront Markets
by MissBianca about Surfer Paradise Night Markets
Explore more than 120 market stalls stretching over half a kilometre of beachfront promenade along Surfers Paradise beach, every Wednesday and Friday evening. Expect to see locally made items including accessories, artworks, homewares, jewellery, music, beauty products, textiles, photoraphy, memorabilia and much more. Although these markets aren't the most exciting around, they are great to kill an hour over. You may find there prices aren't as cheap as other markets on the Gold Coast, so if you are after a bargain take the time to shop around.
Aruba - at Main Beach
by sue_stone about Aruba
A friend had suggested that Tedder Avenue was a great place to head for lunch as there are lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Well, they weren't wrong and we were spoilt for choice. We opted to eat at Aruba, as it looked nice enough, the food being delivered to the other diners looked good, and they had a nice table for four available.
Service was smiley and some refreshing iced water was delivered with the menus. It was such a lovely sunny day that a couple of beers were in order as well. We all opted for 'lunchy' types of meals. I had a very delicious Cajun chicken wrap which had all sorts of tasty fillings such as rocket and pumpkin. Also sampled was the Triple Decker sandwich, and the delicious Duck Salad which my Dad seemed pretty pleased about (see the photo).
It was an enjoyable lunch at Aruba and we thought that the menu options were perfect for the warm Queensland weather.
