Hi, I have seen this company around but have no personal experience of them. There are plenty of car rental companies in the area of Brisbane and the Gold Coast including the international ones Hertz, Budget etc. Just make sure you understand the insurance details.
You don't say where you are from - are you OK with driving on the left side of the road?
By the way - the police in Australia are very helpful.

Travel Tips for Gold Coast
Free and easy
by jackjunior
Hi there,
Just came back from vacation in Gold Coast few weeks ago. Surprisely, it was a school break that time and we didn't aware about that. We spent 2 days wednesday and thursday and found that it's not really crowded and no problem to enjoy the parks though it was school break. I dun really know how quiet that u r looking for, but to me, it's still allrite during schoolbreak and i suppose it shud be ok at any day u choose to enjoy it. If u used to go to disneyland, you'll find that gold goast theme parks won't make u wait like disney nor universal studio at LA. Enjoy!! The scenario at surfers paradise during midnite especially in the weekend. It's tremendous and definitely I'll spend more time for my next visit. Not to miss dream world where u can touch and hug the kangaroos
Australian Coin
by RoseAmano
This is generally Australian matter.
On Australian Coin, you can see her face. Of course she is ELIZABETH 2. Coins show aging of her face corresponding to the year of manufacture. So they change coin mold every year? I was surprised. May be changed by five years a time?
Hinze Dam
by goldcoaster
If you have a hire car you can head up into the hinterland and follow the signs to the Hinze Dam. This is the water supply for the area but also a nice place for a BBQ or a picnic. You can fish here but you must buy a permit.
There are sail boats and boats with electric motors. There are no power boats allowed on the dam.
Car Rental
by grantravel
Although the bus services are ok to get around along the main roads and highway, and the rail for getting to Brisbane they are not always the most convenient.
By far the handiest way to get around the Gold Coast is by car. This way you get to wherever you want to go, when 'you' want to.
There are plenty of car rental places around. Just ask at the desk of the hotel you are staying and they should be able to help you. Alternatively you could pre-book a rental car through the internet/over the phone.
New cars cost approx. $50.00 - $120.00 and second-hand cars from $30.00 per day.
