Natural Arch et al

The Natural Arch is a stand alone attraction and very popular. It's about a 45 minute drive from Surfers along a scenic drive that makes the trip doubly worthwhile. The short walk down to the waterfall is very scenic as far as rain forest is concerned. Some large strangler figs (pics 3&4) and a few other giants can be viewed on the main walkway.
Rather sadly, these days there's no jumping in the pool. Along with many other adventure activities it's banned due to OH&S regulations. Musn't get hurt enjoying ourselves.
It's a great place for families because the walk is easy on a made trail and you get to go inside a cave where there purportedly are glow worms but you'll be lucky to see any.
There's no entry fee and the drive to get there is very scenic so it makes for a good half day out.
Wine tasting

If you do take a tour which Includes O'Reilly's and Tamborine Mountain, you will probably have the Canungra Valley Vineyard as a stopping point. Here you can taste the wine, take tea on the verandah, indoors, or in the gazebo. Take a walk down to Canungra Creek and see the platypus' if you are lucky (we were not on this occasion).
Take a tour of the homestead & grounds.

The huge Christmas Tree at the Lobby of the Conrad Hotel is really beautiful (see pic below). If you don't have anything special to do, you can people-watch... or head to the Jupiters Casino located inside this hotel.

Spinners has a wide variety on its 'a la carte' menu, from light snacks and filling meals to coffee and cakes. Best of all this restaurant is open 24 hours a day! I personally have enjoyed the supreme pizza (AU$12) there many times, also the all day breakfast (AU$12.90) is terrific. Another favourite there is the nachos. The hot fudge brownie is the best of the desserts, very delicious!
Sea World !

This place is a Gold Coast icon ! It is always evolving and always entertaining. Sea World is definitely worth a visit. There is a great range of rides for all ages, regular shows , underwater viewing stadium as well polar bears and other animals.
For the rides...try the bermuda triangle ! Attractions....see the sharks and other marine life in the underwater viewing stadium.
