5 Days Tour

by ccykuan

4 of us will visit gold coast 2 weeks later. We will touch town to brisbane airport on thursday morning. My hotel is Royal Wood, Ashmore. I believe that its too early for me to check in, thus we plan to walk walk around brisbane airport. and the rest of the day is free.
my second day is to catch a crab cruise, finish at 11am then plan to go currumbin wildlife sanctuary, evening time will be suffer paradise
On sat we go to sea world and sun we go to Movie world
the monday plan to go some market place to buy some fruits back to my country, thus we choose tropical fruit world then harbour town for shopping.
Can anyone suggest to me that where should i go except tropical fruits world and what should i do afrer i reach airport on thursday

I'm sorry I'm not helping but I can't resist...

"suffer paradise" is so funny!

So how early do you arrive and where from. Will you be jet lagged?

Usually in Australia you can check in earlier than Europe especially if you contact them and explain you are traveling.

Why are you hanging around Brisbane? I think you can get the airport train to Ashmore. Get rid of your luggage even if you cannot check in to your room and come to Brisbane another day.

If you are staying in Brisbane Airport you can go to the outlet stores..a short taxi ride but you cannot leave luggage at airport.

You can go by train to Central by airport train , leave luggage and then go to Botanical gardens.

It is a good idea to give us a picture and more info so we can help more.

You may or may not know that from Brisbane airport to Ashmore the airport bus will take about 1.5 hours. also from your hotel to the catch a crab cruise in Tweed Heads N.S.W is an other 1 hour drive.again Tropical Fruit world is over
one hour by car and much longer by bus from your hotel . Sea world,Movie world and Harbour town not too far from Ashmore . hope this helps

totally totally agree with all the replies, and loved the suffer paradise. Seriously though people forget distances involved in australia and it doesn't matter where you plan to holiday, time between attractions needs to be factored in. Most hotels will store your luggage safely if you arrive before your room is ready, just email them and explain you have an early flight. I didn't get first thread so don't know where you arriving from "2 weeks later" my bad. What particularly are you interested, ie wildlife, beaches, rainforest etc

Hey i loved qld, hope you have a great hol too.

Cheers Heather

There is a DFO shopping centre on airport drive (2 minute drive or taxi ride from terminal) that I highly recommend for cheap shopping. DFO stands for Direct Factory Outlet and it has all the expensive clothing, cosmetics, jewellery etc very cheap. There is also a grocery store there (Woolworths I think) for food etc.

You might have to check to see if it is ok to take fruit out of Australia but more important if customs(your country)will allow you to bring fruit into your own country...!!??..

When I was in India,I heard a little voice below my hotel room window..."SUFFERINGS-SUFFERINGS..!!"...What tha...??...Who's suffering..??...Oh..!!..The little joker was only selling softdrinks...!!..
I love Suffer Paradise...!!

Travel Tips for Gold Coast

Schoolies week/s in November!

by Aquacraig

As another fellow local has suggested to me, a good time to stay away from central Surfers Paradise is the end of year during 'Schoolies weeks' . This usually occurs in November. So if you dont mind sharing your hotel, beaches, restaurants and streets with thousands upon thousands of 17 year olds who are celebrating the end of high school then by all means do visit !
But if you do require sleep at any stage during your holiday at this time then you really should stay at the north end of the Gold Coast or in the hinterland ( mountain areas).
The island resorts are also ideal.

Sea World Helicopter trip

by bkarjee

Sea World Helicopters can arrange different type of tour as per your requirement. They have flights ranging from 5 minutes (A$49 Per seat adult and A$39 Per child 3-12 years old) to 30 minute flights, covering the whole of Gold Coast costing A$249 per adult and A$ 189 per child. The flights cover sea world, Surfers paradise, Burleigh Heads, Currumbin Valley etc, depending on the duration of the flight.
All these flights give a birds eye view of Australia's most beautiful coastline and hinterland. This can be once in a life time event, one that can be captured in your video and hence dont forget to bring your camera/video camera. Helicopter ride available from Sea World.

Sea World

by sweetie_inc

It's better to get a package for all the Worlds (3 Park Super Pass) which u can find in shopping malls around goaldcoast......

Each world cost you around A$50+... The 3 Park Super Pass cost you A$147..

It's better to reach the place early as you may not be able to cover all the places and rides in the theme parks.....

There are open from 10am to 6pm (approximately)...

The journey from goldcoast to the worlds is about 20 mins to 40 mins by car.... All the worlds are separated and not near each other so u can only go to 1 world per day so as to enjoy the place.....

Make contact with marine life wonders and experience a whole world of amazing rides, shows and attractions! More than just a theme park, Sea World is committed to educating guests about the marine environment, and playing an active role in Australian marine research and rescue.

Do catch the Dolphins & Ski Challenge Shows..
