Don't use the phone

I was told by reception that international calls were charged at about $2/minute. I was charged over $5/minute. It cost about $55 for 10 minutes of calls to a fixed line phone!

Good Golfing Hotel

The rooms are a little small but the golfing really makes up for it. You aren't going to spend alot of time in the room so I guess size isn't that important, in a room anyway.

This hotel has some very good restaurants, particularly RPR's. Great Japanese place too. It has a very big convention centre attached so can be busy if there is a big conference.

Unique Quality: This resort has two golf courses, east and west. West course is only 9 holes but east is a full championship 18 hole course, home to the ANZ Australian Women's masters, played in late February.

It also has its own marina with direct access to the nerang River and a floating restaurant. You can use the resort's boat to travel into Main Beach along the river, about a 40 min ride thru the river front suburbs of the Gold Coast. The resort also has full gym, indoor heated pool and tennis courts.

It hosts the Australian Women's Hardcourt Championships as a warm up to the Australian Open in January. All in all a very well appointed resort.
