Best accomodation in surfers

When we got there after a long drive, We find the staff was very polite, so much information in the office for the tourists, everything you want to know is right there about surfers paradise and surround places. We had a chat for awhile before sending us to the rooms.Everything was clean everywhere,It's a qiuet area too

Unique Quality: The rooms has so much room, spacious. Big enough kitchen and benches too, rooms have always been spotless everytime I go thereLarge bathroom with laundry its comes handy too.Sometimes we sat outside in the chairs to see great views.Beach is just down the road, pool is nice and clean, bbq area is clean everytime you use it, was having bbq's a couple of times while staying there I asked the staff if anything happening at the gold coast they will tell you whats going on. Everything is at the front door - Restaurants, cafes, movies, ten bowling alley night clubs shopping centres etc etc whatever you what is there at the front door Good undercover car parking area too

New Years Eve in Gold Coast

by dayafter

Hi,
Husband and myself will be spending New year's eve in Gold coast. What is a good place to have NYE dinner and await the fireworks? or are there any other must see/do NYE happenings that we need to know about? We're not really into parties and getting drunk :) Saw there are cruises thats being offered. are they any good? what's the best option?

And oh, we're staying in surfers paradise and I dont think we'll be getting a car.

Thanks in advance!

Were you staying in the Central heart of the gold coast? If you want to have a great night and stay away from the main trouble steer clear of Cavill Mall. The Police do a pretty good job keeping it clean but things can happen and over crowding is a certainty.

Crown Towers have a nice little Thai restaraunt attached. Well worht trying out if that's the type of food you enjoy.

You could also travel up to the spit near Sea Wrold. There are a few restaraunts located there from memory.

Thanks for the replies!

Im about to book the accommodation. One of the option is actually located in Cavill ave. I'll keep that in mind.

Another question. I can see not not accommodation are air conditioned. Is it tolerable not to have one? How warm can it get especially at night? or is ir best to get an AC room specially during summer?

Travel Tips for Gold Coast

South Pacific Ocean

by beachboy

'Sun, surf and sand'. Gold Coast is one of the top ten beaches in the world and also the top tourist destination in Australia. Famous for its stunning beaches, subtropical rainforest and great entertainment options. The excellent atmosphere here keeps the city lively and spirited all the time. Just enjoy yourself!

Clothing

by dragontml

Casual, lightweight clothes are generally worn on the Gold Coast. A jacket or other suitable outfit may be required in some nightclubs and restaurants. Comfortable shoes are a must for hiking though National Parks.

Mt Warning

by aussirose

If you love bushwalking, then Mt. Warning should definately be on your 'must do' list!!! It's about a 5hr bushwalk (from memory?) and the scenery is terrific!!! They have dawn walks too and a lot of people do the walk on new year's eve because Mt. Warning is supposed to be the first point that get hit by the sun in Australia.

Possumly the Best Coffee in Canungra!

by ATXtraveler about Possum Coffee Shoppe and Restaurant

While taking the winding roads of the Gold Coast's Hinterland, it is very important to stop off for coffee once in a while, since 50-100km of winding roads can really tire you out!

If you are headed to Lamington National Park, you may stop off in Canungra, a pretty little town which is the last stop before O'Reilly's Guesthouse.

Before you head up the mountain, stop in at Possum Coffee Shoppe and grab a flat white! I did like that they put a couple teddy bear graham crackers on top for show!

Here my model Sarah is showing off my coffee and her beloved Diet Coke!

Helicopter joy ride

by aukahkay

There is no better way to see the whole of the Gold Coast than from a helicopter. I took a 30-minute helicopter ride from Seaworld which took me over the whole of Surfers Paradise, pass the towering hotels and condominiums.
