Simply Irrisistable

We found this lovely B&B on the Wotif website- it looked lovely, but one never really knows. I had not read any reviews.
We arrived about 1pm, after driving around for a while trying to find it.
The key had been left for us, with a welcome not- and we let ourselves in. Upstairs, our self-contained suite was a welcome surprise. The large balcony overlooked the lake, and the abundant birdlife made the balcony our favourite place to sit. Turtles, swans, and lush green trees were not only great to watch, but provided some excellent photo opportunities.
The suite was spacious and beautifully furbished, with a real holiday atmosphere. Bedroom- a large comfortable bed, and a fully equipped kitchen, open to the lounge/dining area.

Television, ceiling fan and air-con, and a laundry.
Downstairs there is a games room, and a comfortable communal sitting area, where one could meet with the other guests.
The breakfasts were superb, cooked by hostess Sharon, a warm, helpful person........ nothing was too much trouble. We ate outside at a beautifully laid out table, a few metres from the lake.
The turtles in the lake seem to know exactly when breakfast is served- and Sharon provides bread slices with which we could hand feed them. A fun experience.
The B&B is a few minutes walk from the beach, and a short drive to the shops. We stocked up on a few nibblies, and cooked our own meals at night. There is a barbeque for guest use.
Unfortunately the spa was not in use when we were there, I believe that November is when it becomes available.
I absolutely recommend a stay here- it is so much more pleasant than any hotel room.
The almost rural surroundings and hospitality of the owners - the beautiful birdlife and the lake, are a huge attraction. Its peaceful - and we loved the bird sounds which echo day and night.

Unique Quality: The peaceful rural type atmosphere- and the bird songs.

Another B & B.

Another B & B, just two doors down from the previous place.
They are just a short walk to the beach, resturants and clubs.

Cosy B & B - by the Lake

There are several lovely Bed & Breakfast places, 2 of which are located next door to each other..
They both back onto a lake, with lots of water birds, and the sunset from here is stunning.

Unique Quality: These accommodations are in a beautiful area of the Bay. Right by the lake, and the beach is only 5 minutes walk away.
