Hi , I don't know how to choose among Next Backpackers, Aussie Woodshed and The Friendly Hostel. They all look good! Any advise please? We are a couple, want to book private room with ensuite. This is our first time travelling to Hervey then to L.E. Island, no car so it would be better to stay close to everything. During our stay in Hervey Bay, we want to go fishing as well.
Hope someone can give me ideas.

i would say stay at next backpackers, the others are good but not very central. next is right amongst the action, it is pretty much brand new and very price competative. you can hire fishing gear from the fishing shop up the road to, you will be able to get a private room for the 2 of you with ensuite,

Not very many visitors to this city think about spending some time at the botanical gardens.. Which is a real shame, as they really are lovely.
This is possibly due to the fact that the gardens are not in the main part of town, but slightly out of the mainstream area.
Magical Fraser Island. Lucky for me just a barge away. I see lots of travellers head over there every morning to take in the sights and sounds. Coloured sand, breathtaking forests, crystal clear lakes. Fraser Island is a campers paradise.
