Absolute Water Frontage
BreakFree Great Sandy Straits Marina Resort is a 3 storey walk up resort that offers self contained studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments - all with ocean or harbour views.
We opted for a two bedroom apartment which was on the ground floor.
The master bedroom was equipped with a queen bed & the second room had 2 singles beds.
Fit out was very good and included Air Conditioning, large kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave & dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer, ironing equipment, hairdryer.
The lounge opened out to a courtyard with out door furniture overlooking the beach with wonderful views of the bay and the northern islands of the Sandy Straits. As well as outdoor parking spots, there was an undercover garage with lockable storage cupboards.
Security is a feature with deadlocks on external doors and key required to enter/leave the driveway servicing the apartments.
Unique Quality: The Resort is within easy walking distance of the Sandy Straits Marina Terminal for Whale Watching and Fraser Island trips. The Terminal has at least half a dozen eating options plus small goods store for self caterers and shopping for souvenirs etc.
There is a swimming pool.
All in all a wonderful comfortable place to relax and play for a couple of days and to take in the comings and goings of boat traffic of all sizes using the Marina.
