On the road south from Mackay towards Rockhampton is the Flaggy Rock Icecream and exotic fruit garden. A lovely place, we screeched to a halt and stopped here.
I had a mixture of Macadamia nut, lychee & ginger and coconut & rum icecream for AU$3.40, lovley.
That's what I find a lovely little thing about Australia, you can mix ice creams, you can't do that at all in the UK. We sat eating in a lovely tropical garden.

One thing about the Australians ... they know how to throw a party. We were the first Navy ship to pull in to this city for 5 years. The mayor threw us an awesome welcoming party and we in turn poured thousands of dollars into their economy. Fair trade. This place rocked for 5 days that we were there. Australians are very laid back friendly people and the land is beautiful minus the amazingly hazardous oceans. I had a blast and got to hold a baby kangaroo. what a great place !!
