Sunshine Coast Beaches
We loved the beaches on the Sunshine Coast better than the Gold Coast when I was growing up because they were not as built out but now, just like anything else, they are becoming touristy. Nevertheless, if you travel north you'll come to some lovely places. We loved to camp at Tin Can Bay and even further on, Fraser Island still feels like a holiday away from it all.
To get to Noosa Heads you head north out of Brisbane along the Bruce Highway heading to the Sunshine Coast, the trip will take about 2 hours from the city. The Noosa area is a mecca for holiday makers in Australia, as it offers, great safe beaches, good surf, the best of boutique shopping, fine resturants and bistro's and great accomodation ranging in quality from 5 star to 3 star.
At Noosa Heads, you can relax under the shade sitting on the grass or sit on the lovely white sands and sunbake.
Noosaville is ony 5 minutes from Noosa Heads and is located along the river, you can travel to Noosaville by ferry, drive or catch a bus from Noosa Heads. The main area to look at is along Gympie Terrace which is the hub of activaty, lots of resturants, accomodation and shopping.
